Hmm, I'm not sure if that will be an adventure of my life. I'll be able to say that, when I come back after the Run. Until now, my Adventure of my life was sailing across Atlantic on a small, open, rubber dinghy. I think, that it will be difficult to find something so crazy :-)
Anyway, I'll do my best, to live Budapest - Bamako rally as adventure-way as possible :-)
I have not chosen a car, which I'll take to Africa. I'm tempted to drive my old, old, old Land Rover Santana Cazorla. But I need to work a little on the engine, as it is burning oil. After investigation it occurs, that it is not serious problem, so in few days I might repair it. But, like in all Land Rovers, one thing is fixed, other is broken - wipers engine is gone. I'll have to repair it, as it is not so easy to get an engine for 24V installation
:-(
My other choice is not-so-old Land Rover Discovery... Much more comfortable, but more complicated. In few days i'll have to decide, as I have to pay insurance for the rally and payments for using motorways in Mali and Mauritania. It is no matter, that there is no such motorway - payment is obligatory :-)
Yesterday I had vaccinations against Yellow Fever and a few more - 3 shots together. Prices vary from 70 Euros up to almost 200 Euros for the same shots!
Today back to work and to translate newsletters, which the office is sending form Budapest :-) I have to translate it to Polish, as most of the crew-members form Polish teams doesn't speak English - newsletters are sent in English and Hungarian :-)
At the same time I'm busy with preparations for my Adventures, which I posted on another blog: BO!Run.
I'm looking for a garage to rent in Wroclaw, as I want to move back to my home city, but I need a job to make living. My idea is to open a garage, where I'll be preparing cars and motorbikes for guys (and girls too ;-) ) who would like to travel a little more seriously :-)
